Africa Portal is a special project of the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) http://www.cigionline.org , Makerere University (MAK) http://mak.ac.ug/ , and the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA) http://www.saiia.org.za/. It aims to offer a free gateway to information which would be extremely valuable for researchers of African issues. This includes a digital library of over 2,500 books, journals, and digital documents related to African policy. Some of these are published by African organisations. Topics covered include climate change, food security, conflict resolution, health, and migration, also available is an online directory of experts, and an event calendar of forthcoming conferences.
