DataGov

DataGov is a site created by the Interamerican Development Bank which is intended to allow researchers to easily produce cross-national comparative and time series graphs and tables relating to measures of governance. These are defined broadly and include: measures of freedom and democracy in government; market freedom; public management, the rule of law and socioeconomic indicators. The site pulls together information from a variety of different sources to enable rapid comparison.

Sources include:
  • Statistics from international organisations,
  • Gallup Organisation world corruption lists,
  • Freedom House indicators,
  • Heritage Foundation Index of Economic Freedom
  • UNDP Human Development reports.

Datasets can be downloaded in excel format.
